As an AO8 Procurement Manager, you will manage the GGS Travel Category or another GGS category, including the associated common-use supply arrangements.
You will be responsible for engaging with internal and external stakeholders, applying best practice procurement and category management processes.
What you will be doing:
• Proactively manage the work performance and personal conduct of staff as required.
• Undertake category planning, market demand and cost analysis, risk management, sourcing activities, supplier performance management and category performance management.
• Work with cross agency working groups to deliver good governance and category objectives.
• Represent the department and Queensland Government Procurement, promoting GGS at industry and stakeholder events.
• Partner with key suppliers and industry representatives to deliver innovation and value for Queensland.
• Drive strategic and innovative initiatives to assist government agencies to meet their objectives.
• Undertake future focused planning, ensuring decisions are data driven and evidence based, with measurable and defensible outcomes.
• Undertake all procurement activities with integrity and due consideration to probity, ensuring that all actions are transparent.
• Assist and provide advice to government agencies using GGS supply arrangements, improving procurement capability across the government.
