About the Role:
Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of heavy-duty waste trucks and equipment to ensure secure, reliable, and effective operation.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, hydraulics, and electrical systems
Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing
Maintain accurate service records and documentation
Work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced workshop environment
Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures
What We’re Looking For:
Minimum 3 years’ experience as a qualified diesel mechanic (preferably with waste or heavy industries)
Relevant trade qualifications (Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent)
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
Current driver’s license (HR or higher preferred)
