The Role
The role involves supporting consumers and working closely with a registered nurse to deliver high‐quality aged care services.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
* Listen to consumers and understand what is important to them and support them to achieve their goals.
* Follow the care plan, work to a planned schedule under the direction of a registered nurse.
* Record consumer outcomes into the appropriate Baptcare records.
* Participate in the continuity‐improvement cycle at the home.
* Build relationships with families and other agencies/stakeholders with the goal of improving life for consumers in care.
* Report workplace risks to management.
* Report consumer risks to management, including inappropriate behaviours or actions not aligned to our values.
* Attend regular scheduled training to maintain your level of skill.
Essential Qualifications & Requirements
* Minimum Certificate III in Aged Care
* Minimum of 12 months working experience in an Aged Care facility
* Be customer focused with a passion for working in Aged Care
* Have excellent attention to detail, be honest and reliable, and possess a positive and flexible attitude
* A proven ability to maintain confidentiality and work collaboratively in a team
