The Role - Full-time based at our Epping Head Office - 76 hours per fortnight
The Asset Manager sits within the Property & Development team and reports directly to the Building Compliance Manager NSW/ACT. The role works closely with colleagues across Capital Works, Property & Development, and local Maintenance Teams to ensure asset information is accurate, accessible, and able to support informed decision making. You will collaborate with Residential Managers, Regional Managers, and Village Managers to coordinate inspections, update asset information, and provide advice on maintenance requirements in line with manufacturers recommendations and asset performance. The role also partners with the People & Culture Team, Finance, consultants, contractors, and council representatives to support compliance, scheduling, reporting, and safe operations across SCC's diverse property portfolio.
Quality, Planning & Data Integrity
* Maintain accurate and complete asset registers, including condition updates and component registration.
* Review, report and analyse asset information to support lifecycle planning, budget development, and maintenance scheduling.
* Ensure key data points such as compliance / registration dates, warranty periods, and service requirements are up to date.
* Prepare reports and insights that support operational and strategic decision making.
Compliance, Safety & Risk Management
* Complete desktop and onsite audits to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and organisational requirements of assets.
* Identify emerging risks and elevate issues appropriately to support safe, compliant environments.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen SCC's risk and compliance framework.
Collaboration, Relationships & Support
* Work closely with Residential Managers, local Maintenance Teams, Capital Works, and other internal stakeholders to support efficient workflows and timely completion of asset related tasks.
* Provide guidance, training, and support on asset management systems, templates, mobile work orders, and reporting tools.
* Build effective relationships with contractors, consultants, and councils to ensure coordinated inspections, effective communication, and quality service delivery.
Operations, Systems & Continuous Improvement
* Use corporate systems to maintain records, capture data, and produce reports that support consistent and reliable operations.
* Identify opportunities to improve asset management processes and contribute to system enhancements.
* Support the development and maintenance of templates, forms, and digital tools to streamline asset data collection and reporting.
* Participate in the analysis of work reports, invoices, and documentation to ensure accurate updating of registers.

Education And Experience
* Certificate-level qualification relevant to data collection, asset management, or building/maintenance operations.
* Previous experience in an asset management or similar role.
* Experience working with asset management systems or databases.
* Experience in construction or trades (Desirable).
* Ability to understand plans and diagrams (Desirable).
* Knowledge of the BCA, NCC, and relevant Australian Standards (Desirable).
* Understanding of aged care design principles, accreditation processes, or aged care environments (Desirable).
Skills And Capability
* Ability to accurately assess and file information from multiple sources.
* Strong observation and audit skills, including use of audit tools and frameworks.
* Competence using spreadsheets, databases, and Microsoft Office applications.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to travel across NSW and ACT, including multi-day trips where required.
* Current Driver Licence.
* Understanding and application of EEO, WHS, and environmental management principles.
