Overview
We're looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate Hepatitis B Educator to join our Education Team. Supported by the Education Coordinator, you'll plan, deliver and evaluate education sessions and awareness activities across South Australia, helping to improve understanding and care for people affected by hepatitis B. Hepatitis SA is a community-based organisation working to prevent and reduce the impact of viral hepatitis in South Australia. We provide education, information, and support to people living with or affected by hepatitis B and C, and to the professionals and communities who support them.
Responsibilities
* Delivering engaging hepatitis B education to communities, health professionals and service providers
* Building relationships and collaborating with key organisations, including multicultural services
* Supporting the development of educational materials and awareness campaigns
* Promoting Hepatitis SA's services and resources
* Managing education projects, events and reporting as part of the national Heplink program
About You
You're a great communicator who enjoys engaging with people and sharing knowledge in accessible, meaningful ways. You bring experience in community development, health promotion, adult education or a related field — and you're passionate about equitable health and inclusion.
You'll also have:
* Strong collaboration and project management skills
* The ability to work independently and as part of a small team
* Experience engaging respectfully with diverse and marginalised communities
* Excellent organisation and communication skills
Knowledge of hepatitis B or experience working in community health or multicultural settings will be highly regarded.
