**Human Resources Advisor, APAC**
**(Parental Leave Cover, 1 Year)**
**Purpose of Position**:
The Asia Pacific (APAC) Palladium corporate team drives and delivers projects for the APAC region as part of Palladium's global strategic initiatives and purpose around "Catalysing an enriched future for all".
The Senior Associate, Human Resources plays a vital role in supporting the APAC corporate office by delivering people solutions aligned to business objectives. Working in conjunction with the HR Director, they will implement HR initiatives, services and policies to support the growth of the APAC partnership.
The role will also provide guidance and mentoring to other members of the team as required, and act as a first point of contact for operational staff queries.
We are looking for an HR Advisor for a fixed-term 12 month parental leave cover.
**Primary Duties and Responsibilities**:
The primary responsibilities of the Senior Associate, Human Resources are to:
- Build strong and trusted relationships with the business and provide accurate advice and guidance to line managers and employees to enhance the performance and capability of their teams and address a range of workforce issues;
- Ensure that the company is meeting its legal obligations by maintaining a current knowledge of relevant IR legislation and professional HR practice, and liaising with Contracts & Compliance as and when required;
- Prepare staff employment contracts, amendments and secondments, and advise line managers on employment policies and regulations with regard to hiring, mobilising, onboarding and exiting employees;
- Contribute to the APAC HR strategy through facilitating employee engagement and retention initiatives, engaging in culture and communication strategies, and contributing to HR transformation and change initiatives as required;
- Ensure key operational HR processes such as staff onboarding and induction, probation and performance reviews, and benefits are consistently delivered to a standard of excellence, and that files and records are monitored and maintained;
- Prepare and analyse HR data and metrics, and undertake regular reporting activities for diversity and inclusion, sustainable business, quarterly RBP and other ad hoc HR-related reports;
- Proactively and regularly maintain, monitor and review transaction flows within key HR systems, and identify opportunities for streamlining process improvements and accuracy;
- Support APAC's Diversity & Inclusion and sustainable business strategies, undertaking projects and tasks as and when required;
- Oversee the employee benefits program, ensuring service providers are being managed effectively and recipients are complying with company policies;
- Role model the Palladium behavioural capabilities in conjunction with our Guiding Principles.
- Perform other job-related duties that may be assigned from time to time.
**Required Qualifications**:
- Relevant HR or business related qualification, or equivalent level of experience
- Previous relevant experience in HR, preferably in a professional services environment
- A solid understanding of Australian Employment Law
- Ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues by using judgement that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation or government law.
- Demonstrated understanding of the confidentiality of discussions and records
- Confidence and strong presentation skills
- Detail oriented with an ability to work quickly and accurately within a very dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Excellent customer service, relationship management and influencing skills
- High level of professional credibility and integrity
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion, particularly in a multi-cultural context.
- Willingness to travel if and when required
