Practice Details
This modern, solo practice has been operational for over 10 years and is AGPAL accredited. Up to 8 doctors have worked in the practice at any one time in addition to the practice principal. The practice also has visiting diabetes educator, dietician, exercise physiologist and podiatrist.
The practice is a training practice accredited for GP training by ACRRM and RACGP.
The practice has hosted registrars on different training pathways in the past including AGPT, RVTS, FSP, and ACRRM independent pathways.
The practice does broad general practice and there is opportunity for occupational health.
There is a local regional hospital with a wide range of local specialists and referral to provincial servers in some cases.
Position Description
A solo practice in Mount Isa has a full‐time opportunity for a General Practitioner with a range of experience levels catered for.
Qualifications & Experience
* General AHPRA registration or
* Limited / provisional AHPRA registration (level‐2 supervision minimum)
* Excellent communication skills with patients, families and colleagues
Hours
There is a shared arrangement with other practices in relation to after‐hours coverage.
Salary Information
Salary of $180,000 per annum or 60 % of billing, whichever is greater.
About Mount Isa
Mount Isa is a city located west of the Great Dividing Range in North‐West Queensland. Located 880 kilometres inland from Townsville it is quite literally an oasis in the outback. It is the heart of the great north‐west with most modern amenities – Kmart Plaza, Woolworths coffee club and the like.
