Baker – Artisan Bakery

We're an artisan bakery known for producing high-quality, hand-crafted breads and pastries — and we're on the hunt for a skilled Baker to join our team.
About the Role
This role will see you working with a variety of doughs and techniques, including:
· Mixing sourdough, milk dough, dark rye sourdough, baguette doughs, and croissant dough.
· Shaping baguettes, sourdough loaves, and milk dough products to our high standards.
· Baking a wide range of breads and pastries to perfection.
· Operating and understanding retarder proofers to manage production schedules.
· Maintaining the cleanliness of all machinery, ovens, and your work area.
You'll need to work independently, manage your own bench, and keep up with the pace of a busy bakery.
What We're Looking For
· Minimum 1 year's experience in a commercial bakery environment.
· Strong understanding of artisan baking processes and dough handling.
· Commitment to cleanliness, food safety, and attention to detail.
· Ability to work weekends and evenings.
· Reliable, self-motivated, and a genuine passion for baking.
Hours & Employment
· Approximately 32 hours per week, with the potential to increase for the right person.
· We welcome Working Holiday Makers, but you must be able to commit to at least 6 months.
