**Responsibilities**
- Using and maintaining workshop equipment such such as millers,
- Assembling components for machines so they are ready for installation
- Reading and interpreting project and parts drawings
- Coordinating with the labour crew and engineers to ensure efficient machine assemblies.
- Performing **MIG**, **TIG** and other types of welding methods depending on the project.
- Strictly adhering to all health and safety policies and procedures, including the use of the appropriate protective clothing
- Conserving resources wherever possible to ensure budgetary integrity and customer satisfaction

- **Teamwork**:You will be working alongside a team of fabricators and fellow fitters/turners. This makes your ability to work effectively in teams essential.
- **Problem-solving skills**:You must possess the ability to solve and repair system issues effectively.
- **Self-Motivation**:The ability to motivate oneself and rise to the challenge when required.
- **Mechanical skills**:You must be able to understand which workshop tools to use and how they should be used.
- **Basic knowledge of computer-aided design (CAD) software**: This is required so you can read design blueprints
**Your Qualifications and Experience**
- At the very least, a **certificate III in engineering - mechanical trade**
- At least 5 years' worth of experience in the manufacturing industry
