Job Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled specialist to provide comprehensive and professional services as a Visiting Medical Officer in General Practice.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in General Practice Anaesthesia, with the ability to admit, consult, diagnose, perform procedures, and provide outpatient, telehealth, and on-call services.
This role involves attending rostered hours and on-call duties, including clinical handover, supervision, teaching, and emergency and routine care.
Key qualifications include a primary medical degree registrable with AHPRA and Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners / Australian College of Rural Remote Medicine, or equivalent.
About the Role
* Responsibilities:
* Provide contemporary, safe, effective, evidence-based, and patient-centered specialist services.
* Admit, consult, diagnose, perform procedures, and provide outpatient, telehealth, and on-call services as required.
* Attend and be available during rostered hours and on-call, including clinical handover, supervision, teaching, and emergency and routine care.
* Contribute to education and research activities as required.
Requirements
* Qualifications:
* A primary medical degree registrable with AHPRA and Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners / Australian College of Rural Remote Medicine, or equivalent.
* Recognised Qualification of Advanced Skill in General Practice Anaesthesia (JCCA, DRGA).
* Recent and comprehensive experience in General Practice.
* Strong communication, collaboration, management, professionalism, and advocacy skills.
