About the roleThis role focuses on on-ground delivery of pest animal management programmes with a strong emphasis on controlling feral pig populations and other priority pests.
As part of the FPPP team you will :Conduct field operations to reduce the impact of feral pigs and other invasive speciesAssist with surveillance compliance and control programmesWork directly with landholders, community groups and partner agencies to deliver coordinated pest management activitiesSupport emergency biosecurity responses and contribute to recovery programmes when requiredWhat we're looking forWe are looking for motivated, practical and adaptable individuals who enjoy hands-on fieldwork.
You will bring :Knowledge and/or qualifications in agriculture, biosecurity, pest management or natural resource managementExperience with pest animal management and safe use of pesticides (or willingness to gain this knowledge)Capacity to obtain and maintain a NSW Firearms Licence and relevant Statement of Attainment for humane animal destruction (AHCVPT203A AHCPMG304)Current NSW Driver Licence and the ability to work flexibly across the regionWhy join usThis is a unique opportunity to be part of a high-profile project tackling one of NSW's most significant pest animal challenges.
