Collaborate within a dedicated team in a unique environment as a Head Chef,Chef or Cook at our Defence sites in Wagga – RAAF Base Wagga and Blamey Barracks. These roles are suitable for candidates that enjoy bulk cooking with a passion for quality, flavour, and presentation. You’ll get full training and support while working in a dynamic and fun working environment.

The Position:

- Casual, part time and full time positions available
- Prepare high-quality, buffet-style meals for breakfast, lunch, dinner, desserts, and events
- Uphold catering standards, comply with OH&S; and HACCP regulations, and maintain a strong focus on waste reduction
- Support kitchen operations by managing inventory, receiving supplies, and monitoring cold room controls
- Provide exceptional customer service during all interactions

The Person:

Head Chef:

- Competitive salary
- A hands-on role for an organised and experienced Head Chef, leading your team to deliver exceptional daily meals and events
- Oversee catering and stock controls, ensuring OH&S; and HACCP compliance with a strong focus on waste reduction
- Manage food forecasting, ordering, and stock control processes
- Champion food safety and quality, with attention to allergens and dietary requirements

Chef:

- $34 per hour
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
- Proven experience in large commercial kitchens.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, allergen management, and food safety.
- Passionate about quality, with a focus on presentation and attention to detail.
- Goal-oriented, committed to personal and organisational success.

Cook:

- $27.5 per hour
- Experience in a commercial kitchen environment, preferably in high-volume settings.
- Good understanding of basic food safety, hygiene, and kitchen protocols (HACCP knowledge desirable).
- Able to follow set recipes and directions, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Team player with a can-do attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn and grow.
