ABOUT THE ROLE

This Business Development Manager role with a large market freight forwarder, featuring a built-in pipeline of potential opportunities, will suit a traditional hunter who can leverage a solutions-based sales approach. Utilising market-leading technology to address the end-to-end logistics needs of various industries to deliver instant benefits, with market-best commission structures in place. The company offers comprehensive sales support and implementation staff to enable a focused approach to selling. This position provides an opportunity to work closely with business directors who bring a wealth of forwarding and customs knowledge. Previous experience selling international seafreight or transitioning key accounts into sales is preferred.

DUTIES

* Selling across a full-service suite: air & ocean freight, warehousing & fulfilment, 4PL/5PL services, and domestic transport
* Engaging clients through consultative, value-driven sales conversations
* Designing tailored, end-to-end solutions to solve real supply chain challenges
* Owning the sales cycle from lead generation through to onboarding
* Collaborating across internal teams to ensure seamless client outcomes
* Managing pipeline activity, CRM reporting, and contributing market intelligence

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

* Extensive exposure in freight forwarding or supply chain sales OR a strong operational freight forwarding background with commercial ambition
* Strategic thinker with the confidence to engage both C-suite and operational stakeholders
* Customer-first mindset with strong communication and solution design skills
* Results-driven, data-literate, and motivated by performance
* Familiar with CRMs and structured sales processes
