**About the role**:
The Coles Liquor team now has an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Senior Retail professional to join the company as a Business Category Manager leading our Wine business. This role will see you leading a high-profile portfolio where you will have an opportunity to lead a great team, work closely with suppliers and store teams to ensure we have great wine in all stores.
Reporting into the General Manager Commercial & eCommerce, this is a fantastic opportunity for you to lead a team through an exciting period of growth, driving cultural engagement, whilst continuing to execute a well-established strategy and commercial agenda.
You'll also:
- Work with numerous stakeholders and suppliers
- Have end to end accountability of execution and full P&L responsibility
- Deliver product innovation, range architecture and execute strategies at scale within a dynamic environment, leveraging internal cross-functional relationships such as; Marketing, Own Brand, Supply Chain and Operations
**About you and your skills**:
You'll have significant and proven experience in a Senior Category Management role, or similar.
You'll also have:
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing category strategy.
- Strong business acumen and operational experience.
- Advanced negotiation skills.
- Experience leading and delivering transformational projects
- Exceptional leadership and influencing skills with the proven ability to Look Ahead, Energise Everyone and Deliver with Pride
- A customer centric mind-set with a passion for the customer
- The role will be based in Melbourne
