The chance and your impact
As our Human Resources Advisor (AO5), you will provide advice and support across a wide range of human resource functions, ensuring alignment with legislation and departmental policy. You will be part of a team of HR practitioners and support a range of projects across Industrial Relations, Recruitment and Selection, and Learning and Development. Based in Brisbane, here is what your role will involve:
- Provide generalist HR advice on operational HR matters that align with legislative and departmental requirements across the full range of HR management functions (establishment management; recruitment and selection; employment conditions; employee support and engagement).
- Coordinate key employment lifecycle processes (onboarding, induction, probation, exits, and related documentation).
- Contribute to regular Business Partnering meetings for a nominated client group to deliver HR data and key messages.
- Contribute to the design and delivery of agency-wide HR initiatives and continuous improvement projects, including HR policy and procedure development.
- Foster strong relationships with stakeholders across TIQ to support strategic HR outcomes.
- Support workforce planning and operational decision-making by interpreting and analysing HR data and reports.
- Provide responsive support to HR colleagues and business partners to drive positive business outcomes.
- Maintain up-to-date HR records, trackers and organisational charts.

- A strong work ethic, adaptability, productivity, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders to collaboratively deliver customer-focused outcomes.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute to a respectful, supportive work workplace that promotes continuous improvement.
