Carer Lived Experience Workforce Program Manager

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated individual to lead and support the Carer Lived Experience workforce.
Your New Role
This new, critical role is responsible for leading and shaping the Carer Lived Experience workforce and programs, including the innovative group program. The role requires ensuring high-quality service delivery, strong communication, and achievement of KPIs and activity-based funding targets. It also involves aligning with Carer Lived Experience values and principles, supporting workforce capability through education, supervision and ongoing development, and ensuring carers, families and supporters remain central to service delivery.
Responsibilities
* Lead and develop the Carer Lived Experience workforce and programs.
* Ensure high-quality service delivery and achievement of KPIs.
* Align activities with Carer Lived Experience values, relevant frameworks, legislation and best practice.
* Support workforce capability through education, supervision and ongoing development.
* Collaborate with the Director of Carer Lived Experience and other stakeholders.
About You
* Commitment to the Melbourne Way – putting people first, leading with kindness, and achieving excellence together.
* Significant personal lived experience as a carer of someone who has accessed mental health services.
* Proven experience in a carer lived experience workforce leadership role within mental health or community services.
* Strong organisational, program management and strategic planning skills, including the ability to lead teams and manage resources.
* Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with carers, consumers, staff and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
* Sound understanding of the public mental health system, relevant legislation (including the Mental Health Act 2022) and carer-focused practice frameworks.
