The Role
We are looking for a Workforce Design Project Officer in our Organisation Design Branch. The role will be responsible for providing professional advice, delivering complex projects, contributing to strategic planning and providing leadership and mentorship to team members.
**Responsibilities**:
Reporting to an Assistant Director in the Workforce Design Section, our Project Officer will be responsible for:
Delivering strategies, frameworks, programs and projects to deliver meaningful and measurable outcomes to DEWR people and culture,
Leading and coaching team members to build expert capability by fostering a culture of curiosity, respect and excellence,
Contributing to branch leadership including work planning, resource management and aligning priorities with business outcomes,
Providing complex advice and problem solving on strategic workforce management matters,
Contributing to the strategic direction for people and culture initiatives in line with broader Australian Public Service (APS) programs, such as the APS Reform priorities and actions,
Engaging with key stakeholders and establishing partnerships to implement initiatives,
Fostering a positive risk culture through understanding and engaging with risk, briefing up on key issues and recommending risk treatments as required,
Contributing to innovation by continuously evaluating and improving ways of working, taking an agile approach to managing change.
