About the Role
As the Cleaner at Chancellor State College, you will contribute to the efficient and effective operation and environment of the site by providing a high standard of cleaning support. You will be responsible for ensuring that all duties are completed to an acceptable standard, as determined by your supervisor and in accordance with the approved school cleaning program. This position is offered at 0.79 FTE, equating to 60 hours per fortnight, for a period of 6 months unless otherwise determined.
Your Responsibilities
As the Cleaner, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
* General cleaning of classrooms, offices, toilets, sick bays, and shared spaces
* Cleaning windows, doors, glass, sinks, basins, taps, and drinking fountains
* Sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, buffing, and polishing floors
* Cobweb and mildew removal, graffiti removal, and dusting furniture and equipment
* Rubbish disposal, litter control, and cleaning of external surfaces
* Activating/disarming security systems and locking/unlocking buildings
* Reporting safety, security, and maintenance concerns
* Liaising with the Principal or Business Manager regarding cleaning materials and needs

* Previous cleaning experience in a school or similar environment is desirable but not essential.
