Project Manager - Case management system
An experienced Senior Project Manager is required to lead the delivery of a critical digital transformation initiative within a complex public‑sector environment. This contract role offers the opportunity to drive meaningful outcomes by managing end‑to‑end delivery of a business‑critical system replacement, ensuring projects are delivered to agreed scope, schedule, quality and budget.
Working within an established digital delivery function, you will lead multidisciplinary teams, manage suppliers, and provide strong governance, assurance and reporting throughout the project lifecycle. This role suits a confident, outcomes‑driven Project Manager with proven experience delivering ICT and COTS solutions in agile and PRINCE2 environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the delivery of complex ICT projects across the full lifecycle, from initiation through to transition and closure.
* Establish and maintain effective governance, assurance, risk and issue management processes aligned to organisational standards.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders, suppliers and delivery partners to ensure alignment and timely decision‑making.
* Manage project budgets, schedules, resources and reporting, providing accurate and timely updates to governance forums.
* Ensure project outcomes are aligned to broader strategic objectives and support effective transition to business‑as‑usual operations.
About You
You are a seasoned Project Manager with strong stakeholder engagement skills and a proven ability to deliver complex digital initiatives in high‑governance environments. You are comfortable working independently, navigating ambiguity, and balancing competing priorities while maintaining delivery momentum.
You will bring
* Demonstrated experience delivering ICT, systems replacement and COTS projects in complex environments
* Strong governance, assurance, risk and financial management capability
* Experience working with PRINCE2 and Agile delivery methodologies
* High‑level written and verbal communication skills, including executive reporting
* Experience managing vendors, contracts and multi‑disciplinary delivery teams
Formal project management certifications and strong proficiency with tools such as MS Project, Excel and the Microsoft Office suite are highly regarded.
