About the opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to step into a newly created Customer and Marketing Analytics Manager role and help shape a best‐in‐class analytics capability at Australia Post.
You'll play a key part in turning customer and marketing data into insights that influence real business decisions, support Australia Post's P30 strategy, and improve how we understand and connect with our customers. You'll also help build strong, practical data governance to support day‐to‐day marketing and customer activity across the organisation.
What you'll deliver with us
In this role, you'll design, build and maintain the core data and analytics assets that power our marketing, NPS and customer insights. You'll lead data‐driven initiatives that help teams make smarter decisions and deliver better customer outcomes.
You'll set the direction for how customer and marketing data is collected, managed and used, ensuring high data quality, strong integrity and efficient processes. By developing clear data strategies and implementing best‐practice data collection systems, you'll enable faster insights, better reporting and greater confidence in our data.
You'll also
* Work closely with Senior Leadership Team and key stakeholders to prioritise business and information needs.
* Lead the Customer Data and Marketing Data strategy and custodian requirements including data governance, data dictionaries, and key documentation.
* Develop and implement data collection systems and other strategies that optimise statistical efficiency and data quality and allow for quicker insights into the hands of decision makers.
* Provide reporting for weekly and monthly performance reporting, Annual and Board Reports data points, and other reports as required.
About you
You're a confident and curious analytics leader who thrives in large, complex organisations and knows how to turn data into meaningful action. With proven people management experience, you enjoy leading teams through change and driving continuous optimisation and innovation. Known for your ability to engage and influence, you build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels and can translate complex ideas into clear, compelling stories that inspire action.
You'll also need
* 10 years + experience in data and analytics in a large & complex organisation, including leading Analytics functions
* Demonstrated ability to lead data governance activities, including data definitions, documentation, and management of key tables used in reporting
* Ability to prepare and present comprehensive briefs, reports and initiatives and other material to senior and executive management, and to staff at all levels.
* Experience with Python data science libraries, such as pandas, scikit‐learn, Matplotlib, NumPy, etc.
* Experience with advanced database querying (SQL), analysing and automation approaches.
