The Role

The Coordinator Workshop & Fleet plays a key leadership role overseeing the Town\'s fleet management, workshop operations, and associated contractors and staff. Working closely with the Manager Waste & Services, you\'ll ensure our fleet is fit for purpose, compliant, well maintained and financially sustainable.

You\'ll lead a skilled team, drive continuous improvement, manage fleet budgets, coordinate heavy and light vehicle renewals, oversee licensing and insurance, and ensure all workshop and fleet activities meet safety and regulatory requirements.

This role is perfect for an experienced workshop or fleet professional ready to step into a high impact leadership role.

Key responsibilities

* Lead and supervise fleet and workshop teams, contractors and resources.
* Coordinate all fleet operations, including maintenance, repairs, renewals and replacements.
* Manage fleet budgets, procurement, disposal, licensing, insurance and fuel tracking.
* Maintain accurate asset records and ensure full statutory, WHS and operational compliance.
* Oversee efficient workshop operations and support staff development, including apprentices, and participate in the on call roster.
