About Us Court Services Victoria provides corporate services and facilities to support the performance of the judicial, quasi-judicial and administrative functions of Victoria's courts and tribunal, Judicial College and Judicial Commission. Collectively, Victoria's Supreme, County, Magistrates', Children's, and Coroners courts, the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT), the Judicial College of Victoria, the Judicial Commission of Victoria, and Court Services Victoria (CSV) are referred to as the ‘Courts Group'. Our people enable the Courts Group to deliver on each jurisdiction's own strategic priorities while also pursuing strategic opportunities that are interconnected and deliver benefits more broadly. The Magistrates' Court of Victoria (MCV) is the first level of the Victorian court system and is a jurisdiction within the Court Services Victoria. It has a long history of providing justice for the people of Victoria in metropolitan and regional courts across the state. The Court determines in excess of 300,000 cases per annum at 51 locations, equating to approximately 90 percent of all cases that come before Victorian courts each year. The Court aims to be an innovative, accessible, and responsive court that provides quality services to the Victorian community. Court Support Services delivers a range of programs designed to support people involved in the court system who may be experiencing social or cultural disadvantage. Programs include:
* Court Integrated Services Program (CISP)
* Assessment and Referral Court (ARC)
* CISP Remand Outreach Program (CROP)
These programs support individuals who may be impacted by factors such as substance misuse, disability, mental illness, or cognitive impairment. All programs adopt a client‑centred, problem‑solving approach, empowering participants to actively engage in their rehabilitation while supporting positive and sustainable behaviour change.
About the Role Make a meaningful difference by supporting people on bail with complex needs to address the underlying factors contributing to offending. This role provides intensive case management support to people on bail participating in the Court Integrated Services Program (CISP). Based at the Wangaratta Law Courts, with travel across the Hume Region, you will work closely with courts, justice partners and community services to support safer outcomes for individuals and the community. Key responsibilities:
* Deliver person‑centred case management to clients with complex needs while on bail or summons
* Undertake needs and risk assessments and develop tailored support plans
* Coordinate and monitor access to services including housing, AOD, mental health and family violence interventions
* Prepare and present written court reports and provide advice to the Court
* Deliver brief interventions and risk management strategies
* Build strong, collaborative relationships with judicial officers, legal professionals and community providers
* Maintain accurate, confidential records and actively reflect on practice

About You
* A relevant tertiary qualification related to forensic case management (minimum Diploma level), such as social work, psychology, welfare, drug and alcohol studies, or a related discipline—or equivalent relevant experience
* A genuine motivation to support forensic clients and further develop your skills to positively influence behaviour change
* A strong commitment to working within a supportive, inclusive and diverse team envi ronment
* A current driver's licence (essential)
