Job Summary

South Western Sydney Local Health District – Reference number REQ665384. Occupation: Physiotherapist (Physiotherapist Level 3 or Exercise Physiologist Level 3). Employment type: Permanent full‐time or part‐time (job share considered), up to 38 hours per week. Location: Bowral & District Hospital. Salary: $58.95 – $60.86 per hour (and a base salary of $116,892–$120,680) with 12% superannuation, salary packaging, and flexible working (subject to approval). Closing date 14 June 2026 at 11:59pm.

Responsibilities
* Establish a current role – develop and implement evidence‐based models of care in Renal and Chronic Disease Management.
* Deliver patient‐centred care – provide goal‐focused, person‐centred care that improves quality of life and long‐term health outcomes.
* Drive service innovation – contribute to service development and model‐of‐care design tailored to the unique needs of the site and its patient cohort.
* Work within a strong multidisciplinary team – collaborate with Clinical Nurse Specialists, Consultants, Physiotherapists, and Dietitians to deliver high‐quality, integrated care.
Qualifications
* Renal & chronic disease expertise – demonstrated experience in clinical Exercise Physiology or Physiotherapy within Renal Dialysis, Pre‐Dialysis and Chronic Disease Management settings.
* Passion for patient care – genuine commitment to improving patient outcomes and supporting long‐term wellbeing.
* Strong attention to detail – skilled in data collection, outcome measurement, and evidence‐based practice.
* Service evaluation experience – ability to evaluate services and contribute to continuous improvement.
* Flexible work options – willingness to consider job‐share arrangements where appropriate.
* Physiotherapy Registration with AHPRA or a Bachelor/postgraduate degree in Exercise Physiology or equivalent that provides eligibility for full membership with ESSA.
Selection Criteria
* Physiotherapy Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) OR possession of a Bachelor or postgraduate degree in Exercise Physiology or equivalent that provides eligibility for full membership with Exercise and Sport Science Australia (ESSA).
* Relevant skills and experience in providing services – assessment and exercise prescription to Renal and Chronic Conditions populations.
* Experience with service development and evaluation, with relevant examples.
* Current influenza (flu) vaccination – mandatory requirement for appointment.
