Overview
Dayforce is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Officer to be responsible for the administration of clients’ payroll processing. In our outsourced environment, you will have the chance to deliver payroll services in a team-based setting, offering exposure to diverse industries, ongoing learning, and long-term career growth.

What You’ll Get To Do
- Deliver accurate and timely payroll services for clients, ensuring compliance with all legislative and reporting requirements.
- Act as the point of contact for payroll team members, providing assistance and support as needed.
- Respond to client queries related to payroll and the aPay (Ascender Pay) Web Self Service platform.
- Support client reporting needs through preparation of ad hoc reports.
- Participate in team meetings, learning sessions, and information-sharing initiatives.
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing, including reconciliation of main and off-cycle payments (Superannuation, Tax, Payroll Tax where applicable).
- Perform end-of-period reconciliations and reporting, including Single Touch Payroll reconciliation, lodgement, and final STP events.
- Maintain accurate personnel data and customer databases to ensure systems reflect up-to-date information.
- Answer incoming calls, log requests, and resolve customer queries promptly.
- Conduct analysis, problem-solving, and testing to support effective payroll delivery.
- Meet all payroll deadlines as agreed between Dayforce and clients.
Skills And Experience We Value
- 4+ years of end-to-end payroll processing experience in a high-volume environment (100+ weekly pays and 500–1000 monthly pays).
- Experience with aPay (Ascender Pay) is highly regarded; training will be provided if required.
- Demonstrated track record of delivering accurate and timely payroll services.
- Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and awards, with experience in complex calculations (e.g., terminations, redundancies).
- Excellent customer service skills; outsourcing environment experience is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Excel (intermediate level or above).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
