Lower Murray Water is excited to announce multiple limited tenure opportunities within our Civil Maintenance Team.
We are seeking motivated, skilled, and enthusiastic individuals to join us.
Position: Civil Maintenance Operator
Employment Type:Full Time - Limited Tenure – 12 months
Salary:Band 1 commencing from $58,474 per year (plus allowances and super)
About the role:
This dynamic role offers the chance to apply your existing civil experience or develop new skills within the water industry.
You'll work alongside experienced team members to construct and maintain civil assets across LMW's irrigation, drainage, potable water, and sewer systems.
As a civil Maintenance Operator, you will be supporting onsite operations through a variety of general labouring tasks, including trenching, spotting, backfilling, site clean-up, and assisting operators.
You'll work collaboratively as part of a crew to meet daily production targets while maintaining a strong focus on safety and compliance with site procedures, SWMS, and design requirements.
Key responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
Efficient and reliable construction and maintenance of civil maintenance assets including potable water, sewer, irrigation and drainage infrastructure
Maintain tools, equipment, and plant in a safe, clean and serviceable condition
Contribute to a safety-first culture
Always represent LMW professionally
Being flexible with availability and hours, overtime and out-of-hours work will be required, as will forming part of an on-call roster
About you:
Safety first approach to all works
Experience in either civil or general construction is desirable but not essential
Ability to work as part of a team with a can-do attitude
Must have the right to work in Australia
Must have or be willing to obtain a Victorian White Card
