The Preparedness, Planning and Surveillance Branch within the Population Health Division is seeking an experienced and dynamic Registered Nurse to lead our Public Health Response Unit (PHRU). This role provides professional leadership, guidance and technical support to the team of amazing public health nurses and outbreak support officers. The Assistant Director of Nursing, PHRU works to develop and operationalise best practice public health policy and guidelines, and contributes to the strategic evaluation of public health responses and emerging public health issues in the ACT. The successful candidate will have demonstrated clinical expertise and well-developed knowledge and experience in public health nursing. They will also have highly developed leadership skills, communication and representational skills. The PHRU operates in a fast paced, dynamic and ever changing environment.
