About the Role
As SEA continues to grow and evolve, we are seeking a capable and motivated Purchasing and Logistics Officer to support vessel operations. This role is responsible for end-to-end purchasing and logistics coordination, ensuring the timely and efficient supply of materials, consumables, spare parts, and services required to meet operational demands.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the full procurement cycle, including RFQs, vendor sourcing, price negotiations, purchase order creation, and order follow-up
* Expedite critical requirements to ensure on-time delivery
* Coordinate logistics for deliveries to vessel, port, and warehouse locations
* Liaise with vessel crew, operations, engineering, and internal stakeholders
* Maintain accurate purchasing and logistics documentation (purchase orders, delivery notes, shipping documentation, and certification)
* Monitor and track open orders, providing regular status updates and reporting
* Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
Qualifications & Experience
* Minimum 5 years' experience in purchasing or procurement (marine, offshore or oil & gas industry experience preferred)
* Strong understanding of procurement processes, logistics coordination, and expediting
* Experience coordinating deliveries within Australia (ports, warehousing, and freight forwarders) is desirable
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office
