Maintenance Technician (Electrical or Mechanical)

* Moving to 12‐hour permanent Night Shift on 7‐day fortnight
About this Opportunity
Reporting to the Maintenance Coordinator, your primary responsibilities will be to carry out preventative, continuous improvement and breakdown maintenance, across a fast‐paced production facility. Initially this will be a Monday to Friday role (with some weekend work) however with increased production on the horizon this role will transition to 12 hr shifts over a 7‐day fortnight.
Your main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
* Carrying out Preventative Maintenance programs for the processing, packaging, cooling & heating systems
* Contribute to the preventative maintenance system development.
* Responding to breakdowns in a timely manner to minimise downtime.
* Performing scheduled and ad‐hoc safety checks as per instructions;
* Investigating failures and making recommendations to reduce risk and improve systems/processes;
* General maintenance within a factory environment, filling machines, packaging equipment, boilers, blow moulding machines, refrigeration systems and Building/facilities.
* Actively be involved in safety and continuous improvement activities
About You
To succeed in this role the following knowledge and skills are required:
* Trade Qualification in either Electrical or Mechanical
* South Australian A Class Electrical Licence or equivalent essential for Electrician role
* Strong problem‐solving skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
* Previous Dairy or Beverage experience highly regarded
