Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to design, build, and govern scalable, high‐performance data platforms. The role will focus on modern cloud-based architectures using Azure, Snowflake, and dbt, with strong emphasis on data modeling (Kimball), data governance, and close client engagement. The ideal candidate will bridge business requirements and technical solutions while ensuring data quality, security, and scalability.
Roles & Responsibilities
* Design and own end-to-end data architecture for enterprise analytics and reporting platforms
* Lead architecture design and implementation using Azure data services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, ADLS, Synapse, Azure SQL)
* Architect and optimize Snowflake data warehouses for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency
* Define and implement ELT frameworks using dbt, including testing, documentation, and lineage
* Develop and review complex SQL and Python code for data transformations, performance tuning, and automation
* Design dimensional data models using Kimball methodology (fact & dimension tables)
* Establish data standards, best practices, and governance principles (naming, versioning, security, access control)
* Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data solutions
* Act as a client‐facing architect, leading solution discussions, design walkthroughs, and architecture reviews
* Mentor data engineers and analytics teams on architecture patterns and implementation standards
* Support initiatives related to data quality, metadata management, lineage, and observability
Required Skills & Experience
* Strong experience with Azure cloud data ecosystem
* Hands‐on expertise in Snowflake architecture and optimization
* Strong working knowledge of dbt (core concepts, models, tests, macros)
* Advanced SQL skills for analytics and data warehousing
* Proficiency in Python for data processing and automation
* Strong experience in dimensional data modeling (Kimball)
* Enterprise data warehouse and lakehouse architecture
* Batch and near‐real‐time data processing concepts
* Data security, privacy, and access control
* Performance tuning and cost optimization strategies
* Data governance, metadata, and lineage concepts
* Proven experience in client handling and stakeholder communication
* Ability to present architectural designs to technical and non‐technical audiences
* Experience working in consulting or multi‐client environments preferred
