This is a hybrid role, 2 days from home. ResponsibilitiesYour role as a retail Project Manager will be to oversee retail store development projects including fit-outs, refits, relocations, and exits across Australia, New Zealand, and Canada. You’ll also lead a small team of Project Coordinators who support these projects and manage ongoing store maintenance.A more detailed breakdown of the role is below: 1. Planning & ScopingDefine project objectives, timelines, and budgets in line with client and brand requirements.Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies.Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and milestones.Coordinate with designers, architects, and consultants to finalize layouts and fitout specifications. 2. Budgeting & ProcurementPrepare and manage cost estimates, budgets, and financial reporting.Ensure procurement of materials, fixtures, and equipment is on time and within budget. 3. Stakeholder & Team ManagementAct as the senior point of contact between all stakeholdersLead project meetings, issue progress reports, and escalate risks or delays when necessary.Ensure all stakeholders are aligned with brand guidelines and project scope. 4. Compliance & ApprovalsEnsure compliance with building codes, health & safety standards, and accessibility requirements.Coordinate inspections and certifications at key stages. 5. On-Site Project DeliveryOversee construction and installation activities.Manage contractors and trades to ensure quality workmanship.Monitor progress against program and resolve site issues promptly.Enforce site safety and risk management protocols. 6. Quality Control & Brand StandardsEnsure the fitout reflects brand identity and meets design specifications.Conduct regular inspections for quality assurance.Manage handover processes, snag lists, and rectification works.Deliver completed store fitout on time and within budget.Conduct post-project evaluation and lessons learned for future improvements. QualificationsQualifications in project management with 2 years’ experience delivering end-to-end projectsBackground in retail or similar construction projectsStrong internal and external customer engagement skills, including government liaison (NZ/Canada experience desirable)Excellent written and verbal communicationProven ability to prioritise, problem-solve and deliver under pressureStrong initiative and a collaborative mindset Amazing opportunity, wont last long, apply now!
