Darwin Ship Repair (DSR) is a member of the Paspaley Pearls Group. With six dry repair berths and three wet berths, the shipyard is the leading provider and covers all facets of ship repair, engineering and maintenance in Darwin.
In this role at our Darwin shipyard, you will provide administrative WHS documentation to the General Manager in the development of a safe working culture that promotes a proactive approach to risk management and the health and wellbeing of our employees and contractors. You will help to ensure the continuous and sustainable improvement of health, safety and wellbeing performance by designing and implementing an audit procedure system that monitors and record our WHS compliance, as well as monitoring relevant programs and activities.

Your duties and responsibilities would include:
* Technical writing of manuals and their amendments for publication at DSR. These include, but are not limited to, Policy and Procedure manuals, Safety Management System, Quality Management System, Engineering Procedures Manuals, Maintenance Control Manuals, Operations Manuals etc.
* Maintenance and administration of all aspects of the WHS compliance system, including document control, audits etc.
* Preparation of monthly compliance reports for management.
* Maintain and monitor training needs analysis for employees and advise managment to ensure WHS and Training requirements are met.
* Administration of Toolbox and Safety meetings.
* Input and maintain electronic data information as required.
* Ability to prepare and maintain Documentation pertaining to quality accreditation & User Documentation.
* Develop and maintain documentation required to ensure compliance and certification with ISO 9001:2008; ISO 14001:2004 and ASNZ 18001:2007.
* Capture and control the distribution of all Engineering, Maintenance, Operations, Safety and Quality documents related to DSR.
The successful candidate must have:
* Very high level of accuracy and attention to detail
* Good time management and organizational skills and the ability to prioritise conflicting deadlines.
* Proven high-level communication skills, including verbal and written.
* The ability to establish and maintain strong, productive working relationships.
* Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word and Excel.
* Sound knowledge of WHS legislation and relevant regulatory requirements.
* A knowledge of or strong initiative to understand Document Control Concepts, Practices and Procedures.
