DESCRIPTION:
Amazon Logistics is looking for an Operations Supervisor (RTS) to support the Operations Shift Manager and Operations Lead to drive innovation and execution in transportation networks. You should have the drive to motivate a team of individuals to meet targets and productivity expectations in line with company goals. You should be prepared to take responsibility for tracking the attendance and work flow of that team and work alongside the Operations Shift Manager and Operations Lead to highlight and rectify issues as they arise.
Please note the shift pattern is based on 4 days on and 3 days off (Sunday-Wednesday).
Working hours: 4:00PM to 10:00PM
Key job responsibilities:
1. Support in the development of a strong culture of health and safety practices and initiatives through the compliance with legislation and policy.
2. Support daily management of department duties.
3. Deputies for the Operations Shift Manager and Operations Lead as required.
4. Carry out debriefs of all staff and ensure that paperwork is accurately and fully completed.
5. Carry out duties in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
6. Assign work to staff as required to support the workflow and daily metrics.
7. Support the Operations Shift Manager and Operations Lead by ensuring there is sufficient resourcing for your function including call outs for training needs, absence and performance management, coaching and continuous monitoring of department productivity.
8. Assist with the training of new associates to ensure they have the right knowledge to carry out tasks required.
9. Assist the Operations Shift Manager and Operations Lead with tracking, trending and reporting of departmental metrics.
10. Assist the Operations Shift Manager and Operations Lead in analyzing and understanding the reasons behind success and failure in meeting departmental and Delivery Station goals.
11. Tracking and reporting of hours and schedules for Associates.
12. Follow up and solve process-related area issues as required.
13. Ensure equipment defect reporting is completed to a high standard.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
* Experience with planning, performance metrics, and process improvement.
* Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Experience in logistics.
* Experience in warehouse operations.
