**About the Opportunity**
JELD-WEN Glass currently have a rare opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Manager to join our team based at Yatala, reporting directly to our General Manager. In this time-sensitive environment you will be responsible for leading the maintenance team in ensuring that all planned and preventative maintenance activities are conducted in order to ensure the safe and timely output of glass for a range of window, splash-back and showerscreen products. Leading a team of three, you will be responsible for the maintenance of $30m worth of equipment including LiSEC glass processing machines across ten production areas.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Effectively lead, train and manage the maintenance team
- Maintain a high level of overall equipment efficiency
- Ensure daily and weekly completion of maintenance tasks assigned
- Enter jobs into, and run reports out of MEX
- Ensure all maintenance work is carried out to meet company safety requirements and conforms to all relevant regulations
- Work closely with the Operations Manager and Purchasing officer regarding matters such as machine availability and spare parts usage/ replenishment.
**About You**
You will have previous maintenance planning and management experience combined with proven leadership skill. Strong people skills with the ability to problem solve and remain focused under pressure will also be the key to success in this fast-paced but rewarding role.
You will also have:
- Previous experience as a maintenance fitter/ manager or in servicing of machinery
- Be trade qualified (ideal but not essential)
- Have experience in maintenance scheduling, installation and breakdowns
- Previous experience using MEX maintenance system (not essential as full training provided)
- Previous experience with LiSEC glass processing machinery (not essential as full training provided)
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- A systematic, methodical and process-orientated approach to your work
- Strong organisational & multi-tasking skills
- Flexibility and willingness to support others
- Ability to work well in a team environment as well as work autonomously
