Field Education Liaison Officers support Master of Social Work (Qualifying) students during placement and act as a bridge between the college, students, and field agencies, ensuring students receive appropriate learning opportunities and support during their placement.

About The Opportunity

Join our new Master of Social Work (Qualifying) program and help shape the next generation of social workers.

As a Field Education Liaison Officer You Will:
* Conduct site visits & evaluations – Regularly check in with social work students and field supervisors, conducting site visits, assessments, and problem-solving any challenges that arise.
* Ensure educational & ethical standards – Help integrate social work theory with practice, ensure compliance with ethical guidelines, and facilitate reflective learning through supervision and feedback.
About You
* A Social Work degree qualification recognised by The Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
* A minimum of 5 years post-graduate social work practice experience.
* Conduct a minimum of two liaison visits (via Zoom) and regular check-ins with students and supervisors throughout the placement period.
* Mark students' placement work and assess progress.
* Respond to students in difficulty during placement.
* The ability to facilitate communication with multiple stakeholders with time limitations.
* Varied availability during office hours.
* Ability and willingness to travel to agency sites if required.
* Ability to work with or learn Moodle Learning Management System and In Place.
* Based within Australia and able to attend campus when requested.

Note: A current National Police Clearance Certificate and Working with Children Check will be required by the successful applicant.
