I am partnered with a Federal Government Agency across Geelong, Richmond, Surry Hills and Adelaide to recruit an APS5 Strategy Officer for a 12 month, full-time temporary assignment with the potential to extend.
Your new role
As an APS5 Strategy Officer, you will be responsible for developing insights and recommendations, drafting materials, presenting to stakeholders, supporting strategy reporting, managing project plans, preparing for events, and conducting research to support strategic projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Gather and develop structured insights and recommendations to address complex problems within strategic projects.
* Draft materials for internal and external stakeholders to communicate perspectives, recommendations, and implications
* Present recommendations and facilitate discussions with a range of stakeholders and leadership.
* Assist and support regular strategy reporting, including status updates and exception reports.
* Support the development and management of project plans and schedules
* Prepare for stakeholder events, including setting meetings, distributing correspondences, developing communication products, and providing procedural and administrative support to senior staff.
* Conduct desktop research and review, perform qualitative and quantitative analyses, and develop content briefs to support project deliverables.
What you'll need to succeed
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage workflow independently.
* Experience in providing policy advice based on policies and legislation.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with and provide advice to senior executives.
* Proficiency in developing and managing project plans and schedules.
* Ability to conduct thorough research and analysis to support strategic projects.
* Experience in preparing and managing stakeholder events and logistics.
