Dean, Indigenous Research & Innovation
The Griffith University is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to lead its Indigenous Research & Innovation portfolio. This key leadership role will work closely with the research community to advance Indigenous research and drive meaningful change.
* Develop and implement a bold, future-focused Indigenous research strategy that aligns with national priorities, community aspirations, and Griffith's commitment to Indigenous flourishing.
* Grow Indigenous research capacity through targeted recruitment, retention, mentoring, and completion initiatives for Indigenous staff and HDR students.
* Promote partnerships with Indigenous communities and external stakeholders to embed co-design, Indigenous governance, and reciprocal engagement at the heart of research practices.
* Integrate Indigenous research principles into university governance, planning, and curriculum development frameworks.
* Oversee the operations of the Indigenous Research Unit, focusing on strategic growth, workforce planning, resource mobilisation, and compliance.
This role requires an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person with significant experience in leading Indigenous research initiatives, engaging with Indigenous communities, and promoting Indigenous ways of knowing, being, and doing.
