You'll join a friendly team of five known internally as the Specialist Team, working across a wide mix of matters including student disputes, insurance issues, general commercial litigation, and support related to an ongoing Royal Commission.This role is ideal for someone who can hit the ground running, pick up varied work quickly, and enjoy switching between advisory tasks, disputes management and project‐based matters.This role is replacing a mid‐level lawyer and is a great opportunity to step into meaningful work during a busy and exciting period for the team.Key RequirementsStrong commercial litigation experience (in‐house, government or private practice).The ability to manage varied matters, including disputes, insurance queries, and commercial issues.Experience handling sensitive or complex matters, ideally including student, regulatory, or administrative disputes.Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to advise clearly and pragmatically.The ability to start quickly, work independently, and manage competing priorities.A collaborative approach and comfort working in a small, busy team environment.Flexibility to work 1–2 days per week on campus.LOD is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
