We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Account Manager Agronomy to join our team in Mount Gambier, SA. The role will involve developing strong customer relationships in the region, providing agronomic and technical support to farmers and producers.
Mount Gambier is renowned for its diverse range of crops including wheat, barley, potatoes, oats and canola.
About the Opportunity:
* You will report into the Branch Manager and be part of a high-performing and passionate team.
* You will provide sales and agronomic support to customers in store and on farm.
* You will gain exposure to broadacre cropping and engage with a team that services the needs of cutting-edge farmers.
* You will take responsibility for increasing productivity, profitability and sustainability of farming enterprises.
* You will build long-term client relationships and develop a strong understanding of clients' business goals.
* You will maintain existing customer relationships and target new clients through superior sales and agronomic input.
* You will stay up-to-date with latest plant production practices and coordinate field days and farmer meetings.
About You:
* You have a strong technical knowledge in agronomic practices and application.
* You have demonstrated experience building successful partnerships with customers and delivering appropriate agronomic advice and service.
* You have a history of success in executing sales outcomes using your specialist knowledge of fertiliser, seed and chemical products and application applicable to those crops grown in the region.
* You possess excellent negotiation, influencing and communication skills.
* You hold a tertiary qualification in agricultural science or a related field and a current driver's license.
* Your experience in an agronomic advisory role related to agricultural chemicals and fertiliser will be beneficial for this role.
