Harvey's Mechanical and Welding is seeking a highly organised and motivated Receptionist to join our small but busy mechanical workshop.
About the Role
You will work directly with the Head Mechanic and a team of 2–3 mechanics, supporting daily operations and ensuring the workshop runs efficiently.
This is a fast-paced role that requires strong organisation, clear communication, and accurate record keeping.
Key Responsibilities
* Answering phones and managing customer enquiries
* Booking jobs and coordinating workshop schedules
* Communicating clearly with mechanics and the Head Mechanic
* Maintaining accurate job and customer records
* Managing Outlook emails
* Data entry, filing, and general office administration
* Keeping the front office organised and running smoothly
Systems & Software
You will be required to confidently use and/or learn the following systems:
* Outlook
* Workshop management software
* Burson Parts
* Repco Parts
* 3CX (phone system)
* Shopify
About You (This Is Important)
* Reliable, motivated, and professional
* Able to work independently and take initiative
* Comfortable in a fast-moving workshop environment
Essential Skills & Experience
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
* Strong written and verbal communication
* Ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment
* Comfortable working directly with tradespeople
* Confident using computers and office software
* Ability to use both Apple and Samsung (Android) devices
* Willingness to learn new systems and applications
* Experience using Outlook email is essential
