Job Coach – Transition to Work

We proudly deliver the Transition to Work (TtW) program across Gippsland, supporting young people aged 15–25 to build skills, confidence, and capability while preparing for sustainable employment or further education.
About the Role
As a Job Coach with Workforce Plus, you will play a key role in supporting young people to achieve their goals and move confidently into work, training, or study. You'll work closely with participants to identify their strengths and aspirations, and partner with local employers, industry, and training providers to create opportunities that make a real difference.
Reporting to the Team Leader, you will:
* Provide direct, one-to-one support to young jobseekers.
* Work with participants to overcome barriers and build confidence, skills, and independence.
* Liaise with local businesses and industry to create meaningful and sustainable employment opportunities.
* Connect participants with training providers to support successful engagement in Certificate III level and above courses.
* Conduct outreach and community engagement activities to build networks and opportunities for young people.
This is a KPI-driven role, focused on participant outcomes, employment placements, and sustained engagement.
Location and FTE
This role is based in Warragul, Drouin and Leongatha with outreach across surrounding communities.
This is a full-time position (1.0FTE / 38 hours per week).
About You
You will thrive in this role if you:
* Are motivated, accountable, and able to work both independently and within a supportive team.
* Have experience in youth work, employment services, community development, or related fields.
* Are passionate about supporting young people to overcome barriers and succeed.
* Bring strong communication and relationship-building skills.
* Have the ability to build networks with local employers, industry, and training providers.
* Hold a current driver's licence and are comfortable with regular outreach travel.
