About the opportunity
Reporting to the Head of PMO - Delivery, this role will oversee, support, and facilitate Inland Rail Delivery Team's monthly projects, and lead the development of project portfolio reporting and quarterly reports for the Delivery Leadership Team.
This includes developing, implementing, and continuously improving project and portfolio reporting systems, tools, and documents across the Inland Rail Delivery Team.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Develop and maintain monthly portfolio reporting for the Inland Rail Delivery Leadership Team.
* Coordinate project and portfolio reporting for various audiences, including internal and external stakeholders.
* Apply PowerBI, Data Warehouse systems, data analytics techniques to improve performance, identify risks and issues, and support effective decision-making.
* Collaborate with Regional, Area, and Project Directors to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget, providing insights and strategies to challenge performance.
* Lead continuous improvement activities for reporting to support business intelligence and KPI achievement.
* Manage the integrity and currency of reporting data to ensure accurate insights for decision-making.
About you
You should be a strategic communicator, capable of engaging audiences through various media and conveying information clearly. Demonstrate decision-making skills, high standards, and innovative, resourceful thinking.
Key requirements:
* Degree in Project Management, IT, Finance, Commerce, Engineering, Science, or related fields relevant to business intelligence and reporting.
* Experience working in PMOs or major projects, programs, or portfolios.
* Extensive knowledge of business reporting on large construction projects.
* Experience in developing reporting frameworks, systems, tools, and reports.
* Experience in change management and continuous improvement.
* Business analytics experience across complex infrastructure portfolios, both brownfield and greenfield.
