Carpenter Job Description
We are seeking skilled craftsmen to fill the role of Carpenter at our construction site. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for carrying out general carpentry works and related duties in a safe and efficient manner.
The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail and be able to work accurately with precision tools.
* Perform calculations and measurements for various carpentry structures.
* Carry out levelling operations and setting out areas.
* Erect scaffolding for building structures above ground levels.
* Detection of defective or damaged structures.
Key Responsibilities:
* Construct, install and repair structures and fixtures made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials.
* Read and interpret plans, instructions, and blueprints.
* Operate power tools such as table saws, miter saws, and drill presses.
* Assist in planning and organization of work.
Requirements:
* AQF Certificate III in Carpentry.
* At least 3 years of experience in carpentry or related field.
* Positive attitude and ability to work well with others.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Desirable Qualities:
* Ability to multitask and handle stress.
* Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities.
Certification Requirements:
* Hold current certification in first aid and CPR.
Working Conditions:
* Work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
* Be physically fit and able to lift heavy loads.
