We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced GIS Developer to join our Applications and Development team to develop, modify and define high quality GIS solutions enabling Council and our customers to work more effectively. Working closely with the GIS team and stakeholders, you will build and maintain GIS solutions that improve workflows through automation and integrating systems.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain GIS scripts, applications and workflows.
- Provide technical assistance and guidance in the design of Council’s GIS systems and services.
- Consult with internal clients to determine business requirements and design technical solutions to satisfy these needs.
- Document application design and solutions.
- Assist the GIS Administrator in setting strategic direction for the development of the GIS system.
Qualifications
- Technical expertise in programming languages, particularly Python and ArcPy, as well as proficiency in Power Automate and cloud-based solution design (preferably Azure).
- Demonstrated ability to analyse and integrate GIS applications with database and web applications using automation and scripting.
- Recognised qualifications in Geographical Information Systems or related field and/or equivalent demonstrated experience.
- Experience with ESRI products including ArcGIS Online, Enterprise and Pro, Experience Builder, Field Maps and Survey123.
- Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
