Jackson Motor Company is seeking an enthusiastic Apprentice to work with cutting edge technology on a range of leading brands such as Ford, Kia, Subaru, Mitsubishi, and Suzuki in our modern Devonport dealership.
Receive formal training as well as on-the-job mentoring by our highly experienced team who will guide and train you as you work towards a Certificate III in Automotive.
About you
You are a mature, dedicated, and mechanically minded car enthusiast who spends your free time working on project cars or helping friends who know you to be a great backyard mechanic. You're mechanically minded with the ability to understand how and why things work and you have a passion for a career in the automotive industry, with the drive to acquire and retain technical knowledge and apply this to the highest possible standard.
Strong problem-solving skills
A good understanding of maths and electronics
A genuine interest in the automotive field
The ability to work well in a team environment
A positive attitude and a proactive nature
Pride in your work and strong attention to detail
Candidates with a Cert II in Automotive Light Vehicle and/or prior hands-on experience servicing and repairing vehicles in a domestic environment will be highly regarded.
You will also need a current manual driver's licence, a clean criminal history, and you must pass a pre-employment medical test (including drug and alcohol).
