The Role
The Procurement team is undergoing transformation to align with best practice and deliver greater value. The Procurement Operations Partner will support the operational backbone of procurement and purchasing across Council, strengthen contract management systems, improve data integrity, and enhance compliance and reporting functions. You will manage procurement systems, oversee purchase order processes, maintain vendor master data, and support utility contract administration. You will be the go-to expert for Vendor Panel administration, supplier onboarding, and procurement reporting, and contribute to forward planning and supporting the Procurement Steering Committee.
About You
We're seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Operations Partner with experience in procurement or finance and a solid understanding of local government purchasing systems and contract management platforms such as Vendor Panel. You will manage purchase orders, vendor master data, utility management, and procurement reporting with precision and compliance. Experience in utility contract support, supplier onboarding, and performance reporting (including DIFOT and on-time invoice metrics) is essential. You will bring excellent communication, a collaborative mindset, and a commitment to Greater Dandenong's REACH values.
