Insurance Claims Specialist
Job Summary: As an Insurance Claims Specialist, you will manage life insurance claims from start to finish, providing a seamless experience for customers.
* Provide best-in-class customer service by communicating claim status and managing expectations to deliver quality health and claim outcomes.
* Independently manage a portfolio of TPD and IP claims end-to-end.
* Assess, analyze, calculate, and finalize claims payments.
* Engage external treating doctors, rehabilitation consultants, and in-house medical and legal specialists to deliver timely outcomes for customers.
* Participate in case conferences, peer case discussions, and instruct third-party service providers.
* Life insurance claims management experience within Group policy – IP and/or TPD claims experience is ideal or; Workers Compensation or Return to Work claims management experience with an Allied Health background.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving & time-management skills.
* Excellent communication & empathy to support customers during challenging times.
* Solid understanding of injuries, illnesses, and treatment.
