As the Administration Assistant, you’ll support the day-to-day admin needs at Anthony Lagoon Station. This hands-on role involves everything from keeping the office running smoothly to helping with reception and pitching in with general station duties. You’ll also play a part in maintaining the station’s welcoming feel and positive team culture, making sure everything is well-presented and running efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Support visitor and stakeholder engagement, including accommodation and hosting duties
A proactive member of the station leadership team
Assist with social club operations: roster coordination, inventory management, and financial reconciliation
Provide communication and clerical support (phone, UHF, emails, reports, letters)
Distribute internal communications effectively to all station employees
Help maintain high standards of presentation across office, buildings, and gardens
Promote a positive station culture and direct staff to support resources as needed
Ensure a welcoming experience for guests, including upkeep of guest quarters
Proactively identify and report safety risks and WHS concerns
Assist with station purchasing and supplies
Contribute to the planning and coordination of station events and functions
What We’re Looking For:
A current First Aid certificate
A valid driver’s licence
Confident using a computer – especially Word, Excel, and Outlook
Good understanding of company policies and procedures
Great attention to detail and takes pride in doing things right
Friendly and helpful with a strong focus on customer service
Clear communicator – both speaking and writing
A team player who’s happy to pitch in wherever needed
Safety-conscious and quick to flag any concerns
Comfortable working solo or as part of the crew
Able to stay organised, meet deadlines, and keep calm under pressure
