The Role
Leveraging your expertise and industry knowledge, you will play a pivotal role in identifying new business opportunities, forging partnerships with key stakeholders, and expanding market presence within ocean freight.
As a key member of the team you will have the freedom to pursue ideas, be entrepreneurial while always being accountable with targets and KPI's. Key responsibilities of the role will include:
* Identify and prospect new business opportunities, including potential customers, partners, and industry collaborators, through targeted outreach and networking efforts.
* Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention while identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
* Develop and implement strategic plans to expand our client portfolio.
* Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial terms.
* Work with the State Sales Manager to develop strategies and activities to support existing customer relationships and grow new accounts.
* Engage with senior stakeholders and teams to develop value added solutions.
* Provide quotes to clients in a timely manner.
* Monitor and analyse sales performance metrics, pipeline activity, and market trends to track progress towards goals and identify areas for improvement or optimisation.
