About The RoleWe are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Ward Clerk to join our busy Emergency Department Team. As a member of the team you will play an important role in providing clerical support, including computer related tasks supporting the day to day running of the Emergency Department, ensuring strict confidentiality at all times.Key ResponsibilitiesCollate and process accurate confidential patient data for daily, weekly and monthly statistical reportingDocument and store relevant information in accordance with the medical records actEffectively liaise with other departments within the hospital and external medical service providersPrepare patient medical records with appropriate forms for documentation of each episode of care.EssentialSkills & ExperienceProven ability to work under pressureDemonstrated ability to maintain accurate, confidential recordsDemonstrated computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and iPMExcellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work as part of a teamAvailablity for 24/7 rotating rosterDesirableCertificate III Business AdministrationPrevious experience in a health care environmentAn understanding of medical terminologyTo view a full copy of the Position Description please click here.
