Mount Barker District Council seeks a commerce or accounting graduate to support finance operations and local government projects.
Your Role
Here's what you will be doing:
* Provide essential support to the Finance Team to ensure operational success and compliance of the Council's financial functions
* Financial accounting and reporting
* Budgeting and forecasts
* Finance administration
* Payroll services
* Treasury management
About You
The company is looking for:
* A recent graduate with a degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or similar (or near completion)
* Strong understanding of accounting principles
* Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel); experience with financial software is an advantage
Compensation & Benefits
* Salary range commencing from AUD76,040 - AUD91,970 per annum plus superannuation, commensurate with skills and qualifications
